Pumpkin Shooting

This afternoon, Jeremy and I finally got our old fall pumpkin out for some fun.

Jeremy shot it with his bow and arrow, and I shot it with the pellet gun. :) It was a lot of fun and a great pumpkin shooting success.

Rody

I brought Rody home from work on a special request for Jeremy to fill him up with air. He has been a little on the floppy side ever since I've known him. Anyway I brought him home and the dogs had a little fun. :)
And we all had a little fun when we noticed the strategically placed air/booty hole. :)

Airplane Construction

Now that house remodeling is officially a thing of the past, airplane construction has begun. Jeremy has his own airplane blog, but I just wanted to do a quick blog on it too. His empennage kit arrived, and this weekend Jeremy dug in. I think this whole project is going to be a big learning experience, but so far so good!!!

Enjoy your Christmas break Jeremy!

White Christmas

We woke up this morning to a white Christmas! The boys were confused about it, but I still managed to get everyone in the snow! :) Merry Christmas!!!

Christmas Present

Today we gave ourselves the best Christmas present ever. Our Schuld overhaul is officially 100% completed. 1 1/2 years, countless hours, and an amount of money that is painful to see on writing...and we are totally finished. It was a weird feeling today, being done...but more wonderful than I can explain!!! Yeah for being done!!!

Merry Christmas everyone!

2 Mysteries

Mystery #1: The case of the missing contact. Not once, not twice, but three times this has happened to me. I take my contacts out at night and place them into the little container. In the morning, my left contact is there, but the right one is no were to be found. Just a case with solution in the right side. On the first time, I never found the contact. It just totally disappeared all together. On missing contact day #2, I did end up finding that lens on the floor in the hallway outside the bathroom (all dried up and crusty at this point). This morning, on missing contact day #3, the contact was no where to be found again. I'm really frustrated about this mystery because they cost about 5 bucks each, and there doesn't seem to be an explanation for how my contact (just the right one) jumps out of the case at night.
Mystery #2: The case of the itchy armpits. Warning: this may be too much information. For 2 weeks, I have been complaining about itchy arm pits. The first thing I want to do every morning is scratch my armpits (and all day really). :) I started an experiment, changing razor blades and keeping the same deodorant (that I have been using for years), which hasn't helped. The good news is that this mystery was solved today...as I was getting ready to blog I started to google "itchy armpits"...and one of the first things that came up "itchy armpits during pregnancy". Seems to be a common problem! Isn't that the weirdest thing!?!?!? Has anyone else had that problem?

Master Shower Update

This weekend, after 2 days of tiling, we have officially hung our grout floats.
The tiling is done, and we are so glad. I can't feel my fingertips anymore, but we have a entire house with tile floors, tile in the porch on the floor, tile in the upstairs bathroom floor, a tile backsplash, and a master bathroom with tile floor and shower. Please don't tell me if tile ever goes out of style. I don't want to know.
Anyway, since we competed our shower, I wanted to share a few pictures. They are not the best because the bathroom is tiny, but brand new!!! But here are a few of the new and improved shower! I'm ready for my first bath in 2 years! (I have a weird phobia of standing or sitting where unknown people have stood barefoot).

Flat Tire

This morning my 10:00 patient didn't show up. Since (for once) I was caught up on paperwork, I decided to go and run a few quick errands before my next patient. I was only gone for about 15 minutes, and on my way back into the parking lot, a curb jumped out at me, and it didn't sound good. I pulled into my work parking lot, got out, went around and heard a loud "shhhhhhhhhh". The tire was flat in no time at all. :) So I called my trusty road-saver (though he swears he won't rescue me if I run out of gas), and Jeremy came on over with another instructor to change the tire. He put the spare on and drove it to the dealership. :) Isn't he wonderful?

After work, a friend drove me to the dealership, and 113 bucks later, I was on my way home. I made a quick stop to run into a store, and on the way out of the parking lot, I promptly drove over another curb. :)

So far, it is still holding air (and fortunately it was a different tire), but if it doesn't, I sure don't have the nerve to bring it back to the dealership! :)

UCSP

We are having a small dilemma. We were invited to an Ugly Christmas Sweater Party this weekend. We are really excited because 1. we don't get out much and 2. many of our good friends will be there 3. we love not cooking our own dinner. I'm bringing my mom's famous broccoli casserole (or at least I'm going to try). The dilemma? To wear or not to wear:

We have never been to one of these, so can anyone with experience advise us?

Cooped Up x3

2 weeks of freezing weather leads to dogs staying inside the whole day. This leads to 3 cooped up dogs, which in turn wrestle, bark, and get into things they are not supposed to. So far the only causalities are the stick of butter, one box full of recycling and 2 donuts, but if it doesn't warm up soon, we may have other things to add to the list! Thanks again to Ken for building us that garbage drawer, which has saved us on many days when the garbage can would have surely been upside down!

I Love Maternity Pants

Okay, so I thought I would be a hold out...I kept trying to convince Jeremy (and mostly myself) that I could make it through the whole 9 months with just my regular clothes and a belly band. While the belly band is still in action, I have found something better. My good friend Trinity convinced me to try on some maternity pants while shopping in Tupelo yesterday. I am in love. They are AWESOME! Seriously, they fit like sweatpants, look like jeans, and the best part? No snaps, buttons or zippers, making going to the bathroom that much easier! Where have they been my whole life? Now I starting to think of many other occasions that I could wear them to...a cruise, Thanksgiving dinner, a Chineese buffet, the possibilities are endless. I may never go back to regular jeans!!!

Bunk Beds

The bunk beds that Dave has been working so hard on came to life today! All together probably more than 30 hours of sanding, cutting, and a whole lot more that I don't understand. :)
The girls love it already, and I know Dave will be glad to move it on home! He is going to stain it at home, so it will be a little while before we get to see the finished product.

Jeremy has been hard at work today tiling our shower. He made that cut out for soap, and today he added a tile shelf in the corner. It is turning out so good, and I can't wait to take a nice warm bath in it!
PS, sorry for the awful pictures! It is a long story, but my new camera is on its way back to Cannon for a warranty repair!

Will the dog that ate the stick of butter while we were at work today please fess up?
Nobody? hmmmm. That is not a very trustworthy face. :)

$17.99 Tree

We picked up our tree today from Marvins, which is kind of like a small, hometown Lowes. This tree was $17.99, so loaded it up and home it went. I attempted to make a bow (I didn't really give to too much effort, and we put our annual ornaments on there, along with some balls and ribbons I bought from Walmart. It gives our home a nice Christmas feel!

Toilet Update

So today was amazingly exciting...we got a toilet in our bathroom!!! I can't exactly remember how long we have been without, but I cannot wait to put it to use in the middle of the night! No more trips upstairs...yeah!!!
Thanks to Dave for helping with the install! We appreciate it!

What Will Our Baby Look Like?

I was playing around on the internet last night on thebump.com, a baby website. :) Next time I complain about not having any free time, please don't remind me of this.

Anyway, one part of this website is "what will your baby look like"? Away I went, uploading a picture of Jeremy and of myself. The program started thinking, and then the picture popped up that said "Meet Your Baby!" and here she is...
Beautiful...and black! We laughed so hard and tried again with new pictures...second time? Asian! Oh well, I guess we won't know what our baby will look like till June 3rd! :)

Weird Reflex

Rio has this weird reflex thing. If you touch right above his cheekbone on the left side of his face, he uncontrollably curls his lip and really whole face up. He gets annoyed when you do it a lot, but once in a while is is fun. I discovered this trait by accident, when I realized that he wasn't growling at me...that he couldn't help it! Here are some action pics of the reflex. :)

We never said he was normal.

Thanksgiving Recap

What a fun Thanksgiving trip! We have been out of blog world for so long, we feel out of the loop. :) Here is our week long blog recap!

Thursday started out EARLY, but we had very smooth travels to the airport and to Phoenix. Thanksgiving at Ken and Terry's with the whole gang...Ciotta and Schuld family. The food was amazing and of course way too much (with round two later that evening!).
We had a little party for my Grandma who passed away this month. We ate some of the foods that she loved to make (shrimp cocktail and soup), and we told fun stories about her. She was quite a character.

Mary Beth and Chris were kind enough to let us stay at their house...and we really enjoyed getting to know Bode. As always we were amazed with how efficient, friendly and put together Mary Beth is!!! :) Thanks for letting us stay with you!

The boys have really grown since our last trip to Phoenix...Aiden is really grown up, and wow-Ethan goes full force non stop!!! :)
Joseph got to come out for Thanksgiving day, and that was really nice to have him. I was also able to make a few other stops in to see him at Hacienda. We also checked out an alternate facility, and that was a really positive experience. We will see how it works out in the next few weeks.
We had some girl bonding time-with all the sisters together for the first time in two years!!!
And some male bonding, including a shooting trip in which several grape fruit, oranges and little plastic cowboys were sent into outer-space.
One of our days involved pulling out/cutting down a dead tree at Jeremy's parents It came all the way out, even the roots, and made a nice fire later that night.
Ethan, Garret and Aiden were such good helpers!

We got to go visit a Tumbleweed Christmas tree, which was very exciting for me, since I like tumbleweeds and here they made a whole tree out of them. The official tree lighting isn't till Saturday, but it was nice to see in person.
After eating out TONS, we made one final lunch with Kitty Grandma and Grandpa at a little lunch place before heading to the airport. We enjoyed that very much.

On a side note, my pants are no longer buttoning (possibly a result of turkey and pumpkin pie), but BS seems to be growing nicely!

Currently we are sitting at the Phoenix airport waiting on our flight to Birmingham. We are excited to see our dogs and sleep in our own bed!
