9 Months

Baby Noah is over 39 weeks now, and the 5 day countdown is in progress. Noah is probably weighing in close to 7.5 pounds, and seems quite comfortable in there! :) If Noah does not make his appearance by Thursday, we will be headed in for a scheduled induction on
Thursday night. Noah is growing, and we are excited that he is healthy and we are super excited to meet him and see what he looks like!
With Noah's scheduled arrival on Friday...that means:

4 more nights on the couch!
2.5 days left of work before a 12 week maternity leave!
4 more days of prescription heartburn medication!
I need to prep all of my coupons for the hospitalization!

On a side note, Jeremy took this 9 month picture for me...he told me that my smile wasn't real. I asked him if he would have a real smile if he was this big, and if he wanted me to smile, he would have to tell me a joke. Jeremy then told me a very funny joke, (which I will spare you the detaila), which lead to hysterical laughing, which ultimately lead to me peeing in my pants. If I had any more monthly pictures (which thank goodness I don't), I would stick to the fake smile!.

Funny Article

Don't know if you can read this article, but it is SO funny! Basically a guy broke into a store and attempted to steal a laptop. He made it outside where four Marines stopped him. The police and ambulance arrived at the scene, and "the subject was transported to the local hospital with two broken arms, a broken leg, several missing teeth, possible broken ribs, multiple contusions, assorted lacerations, a broken nose and a broken jaw...injuries he sustained when he slipped and fell off the curb after stabbing the Marine" according to the police report.

Ha! That must have been quite the curb!!!

The Award Goes To:

Cottonelle!!!
I got this Cottonelle TP a few weeks ago from Walgreens, and I LOVE IT! It is by far the best TP I have ever had! I highly recommend it!

Through couponing, we have gotten the opportunity to try out various products/brands! Something fun and surprising comes in the mail several times a week (I have usually forgotten about it by the time it arrives). :)

There are downsides to couponing...such as sometimes you get a product for free (or close to it) that you end up falling in love with. Fortunately, that doesn't happen often!!! Yeah to Cottonelle!

Garden Mistake

Well, what I thought were pole beans...which were supposed to climb up our beautiful green bean teepee...turned out to be bush beans. Boo. Well now we have about 18 inch bush beans, which are already producing some pretty little green beans! Fortunately, we caught this mistake early, and rushed to the co-op to buy pole beans which are already in the ground! Bush beans have a fairly short growing season, so when they die out, hopefully we can get our teepee going! Lesson learned! :)

Bad Ratio

With just under two weeks left, I am officially down to 2 bottles of Maalox. I picked this up on sale at Walgreens a few weeks ago thinking "surely this will be enough". :) ha.

We are trying to think positive that Noah might be here any day...we are trying to walk Noah out in the evenings, and I even spent some time riding around on our tractor (until I hit a root and the blade broke off).

We will keep you posted!

Ultrasound

Baby Noah had his weekly check up today. 38 weeks on Friday...I am SO ready for his big day to get here!

We had an ultrasound this afternoon to have a final check on him. He weighs about 6 lbs 11 oz, and he is definitely still a boy! He was squirming around, opening and closing his mouth, and sucking on his hand. The ultrasound tech gave us a quick 4D sneak preview, which made Noah look quite scary. She assured us that his nose would not be that big, just that it was all squished up. :) He has a little hair on his head...not a lot...just a little peach fuzz. It was hard to see much at this ultrasound since he is getting pretty big and all scrunched up!

We are getting excited...it could be any day...or not for a few weeks!!! See you soon, little man!

Fun Mail Day

I got a bunch of freebies in the mail today! :) I love free things, and I have been having such a great time couponing and getting free samples.

Today in the mail I got:

A free t-shirt (it says "real men use tools") :)
A free address stamper for the "Schuld Family"
A free pen
A free sample of Zantac (and I have a new appreciation for people who suffer from daily heartburn)
A free bag of popcorn with coupons
A free subscription to "Working Mother"

Last week, I got my Iams rebate in the mail, which entitled me to a free 8 pound bag of dog food!!! That was really fun at Walmart on Saturday when I picked one up for about a buck (tax).

Yeah for free stuff!

Special Friend

A special thanks to my wonderful friend Trinity who drove down to spend the weekend with me! I can tell you that I enjoyed every minute of it, and I couldn't ask for a better friend. Thank you for helping me (and Noah) get organized and ready, and for all the great fun (and food) this weekend. I'm so blessed to have you for a friend!!! :)

Watermelon Belly

Here's a little pregnancy-pick-me-up.
No, this is not a "southern thing".
At first, I thought she was crazy.
Then, I thought...why not? How many times in my life am I going to be able to do this?
So I went for it.
And it was a blast.

Who doesn't need a watermelon painted on their belly?
:)

Happy Wednesday!

No Longer Fun

Being pregnant is officially no longer fun. 37 weeks, or full term on Friday, I will soon post a blog about how miserable I really am.

But for a quick preview...this is how I now prefer to sit. With a pillow covering up my 10 sausages, formally known as toes. They blew up on Saturday night and are not showing any signs of slowing down. Fortunately, I got a pedicure on Friday, because I wouldn't have the nerve to show these puppies now.

And because Jeremy can't fix my head cold (have I mentioned how much I love Afrin nasal spray?), my huge, growing belly, or my constant running to the bathroom...he chose to fix the one thing he could...my feet...by covering them up with a pillow.

With a little over 3 weeks to go I need a daily morning pep talk from Jeremy just to make it to work!

Turtle Rescue

I was sitting outside skyping with my family this evening. I looked over and saw Rio and Riley laying in the grass. I thought to myself, "that would make a great picture", because they were looking so cute. I was just thinking how proud I was of them for getting along so well, and as I was thinking that, I noticed Rio had something in his mouth. It looked like a big pinecone, so I called him away, and realized that it was not a pinecone that the dogs were playing with...but a big turtle! I quickly ended my skype call and called both the dogs away. :) The little turtle was all balled up in his shell, I didn't even know if he was alive after getting chewed on.

I picked him up with a stick and carried him out to the front (confession: I did drop it one time), where Jeremy and I put him in the creek. After a few minutes he did peek his head out and even take a few steps. What a traumatizing day for him!

A little while later we made another walk down to the creek, and the turtle was no where in site. Hopefully he won't get mowed over or something like that, but regardless...he is probably safer now than he was in Rio's mouth! :)

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mothers Day to the two best mothers out there!!! We love you!!!

Shiloh Couponing

Jeremy and I are headed to the big city (and beyond) tomorrow. The squadron is taking a "field trip" to Shiloh National Park tomorrow, and families get to go. Unfortunately, I am the only family going, but I can't let Jeremy get a stamp without me. Hopefully no one will notice that I am not really interested in the park, only the stamp, but really I don't care if they do. Jeremy said that they plan to spend an hour in the visitor center, which is about 58 more minutes than I need, but I guess I will have to go with the flow.

Regardless, Jeremy and I are getting our extreme coupons ready for the trip to the big city, and we are printing out coupons for all the stores we plan to stop at: 15% off at Kohls, 30% off at Old Navy, and whatever Jeremy is printing out in the above picture to Harbor Freight. I also need to go through my SmartSources and find some dinner coupons. :)

As baby countdown continues, we have 3 potential weekends left as a "dink" couple. :) (Or in Air Force language "double-income-no-kids" :) Better enjoy our big city trip!

Pillow Picker Upper

Dear Rio,

You are totally crazy. For some strange reason, you have taken a liking to this bed/pillow (belonging to Aileron). You carry it around, shake it, bring it to your bed, and even try to sneak out the back door to run around with it. You have only been successful in pillow-napping it one time, when it was raining, when it sat in the mud for several hours before I went on a hunt for it in the rain, washed and dried it and returned promptly returned it to its home. You carry the pillow into the shop on a daily basis, and I carry/kick it back to its proper home just as often. You will bark at Aileron until he leaves his bed and then you steal his pillow. I just don't get it. Please explain yourself in your response.

Sincerely,
Pillow Picker Upper (me)

Storm Pictures

On Saturday, Jeremy headed to Oxford to help salvage what was left of our friend's grandmother's house. The storms passed through the area, and so much damage was done. It really gave Jeremy a new perspective on tornados!

Here are a few pictures from his weekend in Oxford...
