What's Going On

I arrived in Phoenix last night, and here I am 6:30 am wide awake (8:30 my time)! :) I'm so glad to be here visiting, and taking Noah back for his second trip to Phoenix. :) Jeremy is at home doing man things, getting his last class ready for Track Select on Friday, and prepping to move himself into a new job in the Squadron (more details to come).

One thing that was awesome on the plane last night was this:

Plane crackers! Southwest has advanced to a new little snackie, and I will admit to really enjoying them! Guess I'm a sucker for a good freebie. By the way, that reminds me...Walgreens has been PAYING me to buy stuff for the last two weeks (there are some unbelieveable deals out there), so I am hoping to take my mom to experience some Walgreen's love today!

Belly Story

Today makes 30 weeks! I still have yet to take my 7 month picture, but I thought I would share a funny belly-related story.

My kids are just starting to realize that I am pregnant...some of them just look, and some ask questions. :) After getting a long strange look from a little one today, he said "Miss Jamie? Do you have a lot of food in there? Because you are going to be sick!"

Green Pool Day #1

We opened up the pool last night to find green...and a lot of it. :) The pump went out last year (while it was still semi-warm), so the algae has had a lot of time to fester. Thanks to a new pump and several hours of work for Jeremy installing it, we are back in business. We pulled the cover off, and 25 pounds of shock later, it is starting to turn to a Caribbean blue. I will post a picture of day 2 tomorrow...hopefully we can get it running soon! We will have little naked infant butt to put in there soon!

My Stash Spilleth Over

After venturing into Kroger today to hit up some deals that I just couldn't pass up, I have found that my stash is slowly (and quietly) spilling over...out of the pantry and into Jeremy's shop! :) I got 10 boxes of cereal today, and this lonely shelf was just sitting there empty. :)

On a side note, I did have a revolution to couponing today. Rite Aid had a good Buy One Get One sale on Old Spice and on Post cereal. I was all set to go stock up when I happened upon the Kroger sales...which were even better on the same products. It does take some time to price compare, but it is worth it because you can really save money. I'm still pretty loyal to Rite Aid though. :)

Just don't tell Jeremy about that tiny unimportant shelf in the shop that is now filled with cereal. :)

Leak

We woke up to the sound of dripping in our master bathroom. In our newly renovated from top to bottom bathroom. After Jeremy wrestled the main water supply to the "off position", we noticed the water starting to drip through our (new) ceiling. Boo. After work, Jeremy got to cutting the drywall at the ceiling and also the floor level. The good news is that is a simple part on our upstairs toilet that was broken and leaking....for a long time! : ) The other good news is that a new toilet should fix the problem for around $100. There really is no bad news, except for the soon-to-come drywall repair. Jeremy is going to do some work for Tommy this weekend, so maybe a little sweet talking can have that ceiling looking good as new soon!

1 Day Old

This weekend, we went to our neighbors property to shoot at things. We shot at cans, leaves, water, and pretty much anything else that looked good. I tried shooting with a scope for the first time, and that was pretty fun. We even sat up in our neighbors deer stand and shot at more stuff. :)

On our way home from his property, we drove past a little farm. The little cows were hanging out in the field, and the looked so young. Jeremy got a few shots, but they ran/walked away before I got to get out of the jeep.

We ended up chatting with the owner of the cows...would you believe the cows are only 3 days old!?!? The white one was born the day before!! It was so neat to get to see a 1 day old cow!

Dresser

Noah's dresser/changing table turned out fantastic. Jeremy worked very hard on it, and we are super excited to have it done and get to move in a little! :)

6 Months (Belated)

Noah is 28 weeks and doing great! My doctor's appointment this morning, went well...I'm officially down to appointments every 2 weeks now. :) Noah's heart rate was great, I passed my glucose screen (despite the cream slush I drank right before it...whoops!), and I got the preliminary "go-ahead" to go to Arizona in a few weeks.

Month 6 has brought a few new challenges, including this cold that I just can't seem to get rid of and awful heartburn (like wake-me-up-gagging-heartburn)! Also, since Noah came around, I have several random frizzies that have started growing right in the front of my head (in case you were wondering what the heck is going on with my hair), and I am working hard (without much luck) to control them.

On the positive side, my itchy armpits have gone away, and I'm really loving maternity clothes. :) Also, Noah's room is ready, and Jeremy built him an awesome changing table/dresser (seriously, I promise a blog is coming). I've been hitting up some consignment sales, and Noah has lots of cute summer and fall clothes. We have also really enjoyed watching Noah kick...it is really crazy to think of a little life (complete with feet, knees, fingers and a whole lot more) being in there.

12 weeks left...can't wait to meet this little guy!
PS- when did my feet get so far away?

Mental Note

Mental Note: If your oatmeal looks like a big blob that you could throw across the yard, check the expiration date. You might find that it expired 4 years ago, which was the case of my dinner tonight. Oh well, there is always cereal! :)

Hopeful

Beagle got a new ball to push his kibbles/treats around in a few weeks ago. Needless to say, he has been carrying it around ever since, continuously dropping it at our feet. :) Tonight, we caught the little booger all snuggled up in bed with his ball, ready to give it a push at a moments notice! So hopeful!

Stash Organization

Today I organized our Rite Aid stash. :) When you get stuff for free/cheap, you get a lot of random stuff. Beggers can't be choosy, right? :) Anyway, I bought more plastic boxes, broke out the P-touch and started labeling and organizing! I'm feeling much better about our stash and now I know what to buy/not to buy!!!

Side Note

On a side note (yes, I can understand if you think I'm obsessed), the hip2save.com website had this link up yesterday... http://hip2save.com/2011/03/140-custom-address-labels-only-3-06-shipped.html.

On Vistaprint.com, you can buy 140 return address labels for only $3 (including shipping). They are plenty of options and styles. I made some cute little characters of us, and put our address on them. For three bucks, you can't really go wrong. :) Anyway, if you are interested, check it out. Can't wait till ours come in the mail!

PS- Jeremy was an easy character to make since he has no hair. ;)

The Crud

As they like to say down south...I've got the crud. I took the day off of work today to recover and rest...I guess parents don't want to bring their kids in to a sick therapist! It seems this cold wants to hang on longer than I expected. Made a call to the doctor this morning and picked up my prescription at my favorite store ever...Rite Aid. Now I am sufficiently drugged and feeling somewhat better.

Jeremy is going to ride around with our policeman friend tonight...hope they catch some interesting bad guys! :) I'm hoping he has some funny (but safe) stories to tell!

As for Noah, he is moving like crazy and getting bigger by the day. Can't wait to meet him soon!

And for all 12 paws...it turns out that they don't do anything during the day! I never really knew, because I'm usually at work. They sleep...walk to another place...and sleep some more! No wonder they are crazy in the evening!

Well I'm hoping to feel better soon...I have some serious coupon planning to do tomorrow. :)

Feeling Great

Right now, I am FEELING GREAT!!! I am feeling great, because I just sprayed! After hours of misery...not being able to breathe, coughing, and peeing in my pants every time I coughed or sneezed...I sprayed. I tried researching online, desperately trying to find a website that said Afrin would be safe for Noah. Finally, after a major melt down (ps...it wasn't pretty...tears, boogers, you name it), I called the on-call doctor. She approved Afrin, and I am SO happy! No wonder this stuff is so addictive. It works great, and I am a HUGE fan. Now if I could get over this cold, I would really be doing good!
